The knowledge which the world hath of what the prophets and apostles spoke, is a fleshly knowledge; and the apostates from the life, in which the prophets and apostles were, have gotten their words, the Holy Scriptures, in a form, but not in the life nor Spirit that gave them forth. So they all lie in confusion, and are making provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof; but not to fulfill the law and command of Christ in his power and Spirit: this, they say, they cannot do; but to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, that they can do with delight.

The Journal of George Fox, p68

Are you living a spirit-filled life, or are you fulfilling the lusts of the flesh? Many argue that it is too difficult to live a life guided by The Spirit, but once you have turned over control to The Spirit, you realise that it is much easier than the life you were trying to live.

Fleshly knowledge, in all its forms, is nothing compared to the knowledge of love that comes from residing in The Spirit - and all the people say, “Amen!”

May all beings know peace!

The Peaceable Kingdom

We are not of this world, but are redeemed out of it. Its ways, its customs, its worships, its weapons, we cannot follow. For we are come into the peaceable kingdom of Christ, where swords are beaten into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks, and none shall hurt nor destroy. — George Fox, Epistle 203 (1659)
